Adekunle Ajasin University Management Shut Down School Indefinitely After Heavy Protest And Looting By Students

The management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo state (AAUA) have shut down the institution indefinitely and instructed it’s students to vacate their hall of residence and university campus with immediate effect.

This is coming after students of the institution carried out a heavy protest yesterday, November 22, 2021, against the “No school fee, no exam policy’ of the institution’s management.

 

Trixx NG has reported how the students attacked the Senate building, destroyed some equipments in the reception room, delafted car tyres and also looted Chicken Republic restaurants in Akungba community.

 

Reacting, the school in a circular signed by the registrar, Olugbenga Arajulu, the management notified all students that the University be shut indefinitely.

 

The circular reads in full

 

“Following the violent protest of students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo state, today monday, November 22, 2021, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Olugbenga E. IGE, has, on behalf of the Senate of the university, directed that the University be closed indefinitely”

 

“All students are therefore advised to vacate their Halls of residence and the University campus with immediate effect”
