TRIXX NG reports that a leading APC aspirant for the Ondo state governorship race, Engr. Dr. Funmilayo Ayinke Waheed-Adekojo has brought succor to widows in the state by sharing with them tubers of yam in celebration of International Women’s Day.
In the midst of a nation-wide economic hardship, Funmi Ayinke decided to contribute greatly to the course of humanity by eradicating hunger in the lives of those that benefited from the yam gift.
Apart from being an unprecedented development among Ondo governorship aspirants, this benevolent act further underscores Funmi Ayinke’s campaign message which is ‘Hope For All’. With the distribution of the Yams, the philanthropist has assured the good people of Ondo state that her administration would restore the hope of abundance in the state.
Funmi Ayinke is popular for her philanthropic activities across the country but since she declared her intention to contest for the number one seat in the state, Funmi Ayinke has made extra efforts in reaching out to the downtrodden, less privileged, widows, aged, youths, etc. in the state.
It is worth noting that Funmi Ayinke’s aspiration has gathered support from different individuals within Ondo state and Nigeria as a whole. Several important personalities including ward chairmen, traditional rulers, pressure groups, party executives have thrown their weights behind the businesswoman cum politician.
