IGP Sends Strong Order To Hospitals On Gunshot Wounds
The inspector general of police, Mohammed Adamu has sent an order to Nigerian hospitals on the treatment of gunshot wounds.
As it is known that some hospitals wait for police report whenever a gunshot injury is brought to them for treatment, the IGP has warned them to desist from such and treat all gunshot wounds without police reports.
He made this known during an interview session on channels TV
‘No, we don’t do that, save life first even if it’s an individual, suspected robber or kidnapper, or bandits.
“If he or she has gunshot wounds and goes to the hospital, his life must be saved first before thinking of any other thing to do.
“There is no issue of asking for a police report before you treat anybody with gunshot wounds”
