Okrika Dresses Causes Stir Online As Price Goes Up To N5,000
There is currently an uproar on the social media scene after Okrika dresses, which of course are second hand dresses are being sold for N5,000 by online fashion vendors.
It has sparked several reactions as people who are very conversant with the Okrika dresses offline have expressed displeasure over the price of the commodities.
To worsen it, the vendors made it known that their materials are not ordinary Okrika(Second hand clothes) but ‘Thrift’ (Second hand clothes worn by big men and women).
Although its not something too serious, Nigerians have laughed it off, and made it known that there is nothing like thrift clothes anywhere, and Okirika clothes doesn’t cost more than N1,000 offline.
The statement ‘Na mumu dey go boutique’ has been used to discredit the online vendors of Okrika clothes, explaining that Okrika clothes are meant to be far cheaper.

Stop Calling Okrika Thrift, Y’all Are Using Fancy Words To Make It Expensive!

Okrika is the one you bend down to select in the market for N200-1500. While Thrift is the same one in the market they wear on a mannequin and post on social media for 3-5k. Kill your pride and enter that Monday market.

You buy okrika clothes and give it to dry cleaner, then you use iPhone to snap it and post on your thrift store on Instagram, you have the guts to put 6000 naira for a converted OK top of 500 naira. Ahah

Since they stopped calling it Okrika and started calling it “Thrift” , it has become too expensive for me.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, Okrika is different from thrifts and better than thrifts

I’m not buying an okrika dress for 5000.
If you like, call it thrift.

The more y'all agree with them that it's called Thrift the more they'll keep selling it expensive to you, cause you're buying "Thrift".
If i go to patronise you, i'll demand for nice Okrika, if you tell me that it's Thrift, i'll politely demand for Okrika until you get the memo. https://t.co/YgLqgN5VpL
