Anambra Election: Capturing Machine Not Working At Soludo’s Polling Unit, Over 200 Unable To Vote
The capturing machine at Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s Polling Unit/Ward, PU 002, Ward 13, Isuofia, Aguata LGA, is not working at all, POLITICS NIGERIA reports.
There are over 200 people waiting since 7am and as of the time of publishing this report, nobody has been accredited, hence voting is yet to commence. There is no police presence too.
Soludo is the flagbearer of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the Anambra 2021 governorship election.
Eighteen political parties and candidates are in the Anambra governorship race and voting is expected to take place across more than 5,000 polling units spread across the 21 local governments of the state.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said ahead of the election that there are 2.5 million registered voters and 5,720 polling units in the state but there will be no voting in 86 of them because there are no registered voters there.
