BREAKING! More Trouble For Abba Kyari As NDLEA Files 8-Count Charge Against Him
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Thursday, has filed an eighth-count criminal charge against the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari, and six others.
TRIXX NG learnt that NDLEA, in the charges specifically accused DCP Kyari and the four other police officers of conspiracy, obstruction, and dealing in Cocaine worth 17.55 kilograms.
It also alleged that Kyari and his associates, who are currently in its custody, also unlawfully tampered with 21.25kg worth of cocaine.
The charges were filed through a team of lawyers led by its Director, Prosecution and Legal Services, Joseph Sunday.
NDLEA’s charge against Kyari is coming on a day the Federal Government of Nigeria approved his extradition to the United States of America (USA).
The US had requested that the disgraced top police officer should be extradited over alleged $1.1million wire fraud involving Abass Ramon, popularly known as Hushpuppi and four others.
