Afenifere Endorse Tinubu For 2023 Presidency (Photos)

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has secured a major push for the 2023 elections.
Tinubu, who has failed to secure endorsements of major groups from the South West, got the blessing of Yoruba leaders under the aegis of Conference of Yoruba Nationals, on Sunday.
At a meeting in Ondo State on Sunday, the leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti; former Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Alani Akinrinade, Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Cornelius Adebayo, former Kwara State Governor, former minister, Chief Rufus Arogbofa and Chief Iyiola Omisore, endorsed Tinubu.
Speaking on why he visited Fasoranti, the APC presidential flagbearer said he was in the Afenifere’s leader’s house to present his presidential action plan to the nonagenarian Yoruba leader.
Tinubu said he had earlier visited Chief Fasoranti before the presidential primary and the Afenifere prayed for him to win the election.
In his response, Pa Fasoranti, who briefly prayed for the APC candidate, simply declared, “Tinubu will win the election”.
Before now Pa Ayo Adebanjo and Professor Banji Aknitoye, notable Yoruba leaders, had kicked against Tinubu’s ambition
