The much anticipated Anambra election took place yesterday amidst so many uncertainties. It wasn’t sure at a time whether the election will take place or not due to the security threat experienced in the south east zone in recent times.

Against all odds, the election held yesterday with people going to their polling units to vote the candidate of their choice even though in some areas, the election didn’t start on time due to technical issues.

During election period as this, we begin to see prophecies from prophets of God concerning the outcome of the election, what people should expect from the election and advice to political parties and candidates on how to win the election. Although, Anambra election didn’t get so much mentions from prophets because of its uncertainty but one man of God who fearlessly spoke about the election is Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church.

Primate Ayodele is known for his prophetic declaration, accuracy in prophecies whenever he gets to release any. As a matter of fact, election period is a time when several people focus on the man of God including his critics who want to see how his prophecy will fair in any given election. As always, the man of God always end up disappointing critics and confirming his call as a generational prophet with the fulfilment of whatever he says.

Long before Anambra election began, Primate Ayodele has been talking about it, he even spoke about how the winner of the election will emerge but we won’t go into that now because the final election result has not been officially declared by the INEC. We will be considering his prophecy on the circumstances that will surround the election.

Primate Ayodele in a prophecy he released few months before the election stated that before the election, the government should work on adequate security because he foresees that violence will occur in some places in care is not taken. He also noted that election will not take place at the same time in Anambra and that in some places, the election will not hold. He further went ahead to say he foresees ballot snatching and that there will be misconduct except the government provide adequate security

He also said weeks before the election that the government should dialogue with the Independent people of Biafra for safety in the election.

‘’The government should make security available during the Anambra governorship election, they have not looked at the aspect of security. There will be kidnapping, hijacking, killings and all sorts of misconduct in the election. The aspirants too are not looking at the safety of their people’s lives, they are only conscious of their vote, if they begin to kill them, how will they vote?’’

‘’The government must provide adequate security before the election can work, there are some areas where there won’t be an election, there will be a lot of threat, apathy will be witnessed in some places. INEC Officials must be secured so nothing will happen to them. There will be a delay of materials and the election will not go at the same time. The election will determine what will happen in Nigeria in 2023’’

On security, one would agree that the step the government and elders took in dialoging with IPOB helped in containing the tragedy that would have occurred in the election. The heavy presence of military men and security operatives was also responsible for safety in the election. About 3,000 police officers and several armored tanks were deployed to the state all for security, as Primate Ayodele advised. Even at that, Hijacking still took place in some places as reported in the media. It was reported that gunmen stormed a two polling unit in Onitsha and snatched the ballot box, beat up INEC officials but it wasn’t rampant as expected due to Primate Ayodele’s advise.

On areas where there won’t be election, even as INEC has started announcing the result, it was confirmed that in a local government, elections didn’t hold in four polling units, fulfilling Primate Ayodele’s prophecy.

Primate Ayodele spoke about apathy in the election. We will agree that the numbers of registered voters and accredited voters is far from each other in all of the local governments declared so far. With that apathy was experienced in some places as prophesied by Primate Ayodele.

On delay of elections and election not starting at the same time, Primate Ayodele’s prophetic call has been confirmed again as seen yesterday during the election. The candidate of APGA, Charles Soludo was a victim of this, he didn’t cast his vote till about 5pm while others in his ward voted till about 8pm. Due to this delay predicted by Primate Ayodele, INEC even had to extend the voting exercise till today.

The circumstances that surrounded the election yesterday have confirmed Primate Ayodele as a man of God who speaks divinely, he doesn’t prophesy out of intelligence or situations but what God says.
