Angry Youths Destroy Gov Lalong’s Billboard Over Plateau Killings, Drop Corpses At Government House
Angry youths have destroyed a billboard of Governor Lalong, in protest over the killing of 30 persons in Yelwa Zangam village, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
It was gathered that the youths stormed the Plateau Specialist Hospital where the corpses of victims had been deposited and evacuated them into vans.
They later proceeded with the corpses to the State House of Assembly blocking all roads leading to the area.
Despite the address by the Speaker of the House who pleaded for calm, the youths were not satisfied with the response and proceeded to the Government House where the corpses of the victims were laid.
In the meantime, authorities in Plateau have summoned an emergency Security Council meeting presided by the deputy governor, Professor Sonni Tyoden, to discuss the present situation in the state.
