Another Oyo Monarch Joins His Ancestors

Another monarch in Oyo state, Oba Gabriel Adepoju, the Oloko of Oko Ile has joined his ancestors.

The monarch, who ascended the throne in 1997 joined his ancestors in the early hours of Sunday at the age of 85.

Trixx NG recalls that the death of Oba Adepoju is coming after the death of three prominent monarchs in the state in the last six weeks.

The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi died on 12th December 2021 at the age of 95.

The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji died on January 2nd 2022 at the age of 93.

Asiganga of Igangan in Ibarapa geopolitical zone also died within the period under review.
