TRIXX NG reports that members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) have been thrown into confusion following the silence of party leaders on the whereabouts of the presidential-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Tinubu ‘secretly’ left the country shortly after the presidential election to the surprise of many. At first, there was denial of his ‘secret’ trip by some allies until his spokesperson, Tunde Rahman confirmed the story to be true.

While confirming, Tunde Rahman noted that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has embarked on a trip to rest due to the stress he went through during the campaign and will also visit Saudi Arabia to perform lesser hajj before he returns to the country.

“The president-elect decided to take a break after the hectic campaign and election season to rest in Paris and London, preparatory to going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (lesser hajj) and the Ramadan Fasting that begins Thursday,” Rahman said.

While away, the president-elect will also use the opportunity to plan his transition programme. He is expected back in the country soon.’’

Due to this statement, members of the APC regained calmness until videos of the president-elect in Saudi Arabia emerged and they were discovered to be videos from many months ago.  This raised eyebrows among Nigerians as many alleged that the ruling party is hiding the true situation of Tinubu’s whereabouts while some opined that the president-elect has issues with his health.

Yesterday, President Muhammadu Buhari arrived in Saudi Arabia for Umrah but once again, some allies of the president-elect shared pictures of President Muhammadu Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu breaking their fast together in Saudi Arabia. Again, the picture released was taken in 2019.

These have caused confusion among the ruling party members as they are not certain about the whereabouts of the president-elect. Many expected that he would join President Buhari yesterday in Saudi Arabia but nothing of such happened.
