APC Primaries: Apapa Elderly Citizens Goes Tough, Reject Adele’s Ticket Denial

Residents of Apapa local government stormed the street on Thursday, staged a peaceful protest urging the All Progressive Congress leadership to let Hon. Adele Owolabi continue to lead the local government for the second term.
The protest which was conducted by the old men and women addressed their pleads to the state chairman of the party, Mr Tunde Balogun and Dr Obafemi Hamzat, Head of Local Government Election Committee of the APC, urging them to listen to their request.
According to the protesters: “It is on record today that the incumbent chairman has done alot for us, Ijora as a case study, we can all see the road infrastructure, students transportation among other projects. We beg whoever is holding the people’s mandate to release the mandate.”
A man who was identified as TM Adewale from ward B Apapa pleaded to the APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other party leaders to intervene and return Adele owolabi Elijah. He pointed the good work of the chairman and pleaded for a continuity.
Another woman said he understood the masses and has done wonderfully well. She said it is either the council chairman continues or no one because he is aware of the aged wants, so they are not prepared to lose such person at this period of time.
