At the moment, Nigerians have launched a general outcry against the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, and some of his aides who have said some words that remain shocking to the world.

Several kind of it has happened but the latest one which is about the minister of communications, Isa Pantami caught the attention of many, hence, the outcry in the country.

Let me take you back to memory lane, Isa Pantami was accused of being an Islamic extremist and a terrorist apologist due to some of the things he has said in the past. In the videos that were published online, Isa Pantami was heard praising some terrorist groups like Al-Queda, Osama Bin Laden, and he also said he rejoices when unbelievers are killed! So pathetic.

When this video went viral, several calls were made for his immediate sack but they all fell on deaf ears, even the Minister didn’t feel remorse, all he said was that He was still young when he made those comments, and that he doesn’t have those kind of school of thought again.

As we all know that terrorism is a very serious case that everyone and leader in the world frown at, it cripples economies but instead of the federal government frowning at this, the presidency shielded Isa Pantami despite these proofs, and they still repeated his excuse ‘ He was still young when he said those words’.

If Isa Pantami claims he was still young and doesn’t have that kind of thought again, what about those who have been killed due to this open endorsement of his? Because truth be told, Isa Pantami is a very influential muslim cleric, what about the victims of his extremism?

If the federal government can retain Isa Pantami as minister and gave an excuse for his misdeeds, then I think Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau still has a very bright future in Nigerian government.

On the long run, he will be appointed and if voices are raised, the government will shield him and say He was still young when he terrorized the northern communities, and he has repented of his ways, hence, he should become a minister or a federal appointee in the country.

Saying this isn’t out of point because the Nigerian government have even chosen to negotiate with terrorists, grant amnesty to convicted killers of people, then what else can’t happen in this country?
