BREAKING! APC’s Aishatu Binani Loses Bid To Become First Elected Female Governor In Nigeria
TRIXX NG reports that the ambition of Senator Aishat Binani to become the first elected female governor in Nigeria has been cut short as she has just lost the Adamawa governorship election to PDP’s Fintiri who is seeking a second term.
Reports had it that Binani emerged winner of the election only to discover the news were fake and orchestrated by the APC. Many of the party chieftains already congratulated her for the unconfirmed victory.
The independent electoral commission had declared the governorship election which held on March 18 inconclusive and rescheduled a supplementary election today.
The electoral commission has declared Ahmadu Fintiri as the winner.
