BREAKING! Nigerian Athlete, Tobi Amusan Sets Another Huge Record
World record holder, Tobi Amusan powered to win heat three of the women’s 100 metres hurdles at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham on Friday.
Running in lane three, the Nigerian took off at the right time and led others till the finished line.
Amusan ran 12.40 seconds to win the heat ahead of others.
Her time was easily the fasted in qualification acros all heats ahead of Michelle Jenneke of Australia.
Michelle Harrison of Canada finished third in a time of 12.85 seconds.
Amusan had shattered the Women’s 100 metres hurdles World Record when she ran 12.12 seconds at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon, USA last month.
She broke Kendra Harrison of United State’s 12.20 seconds world record set on 22 July 2016 in London.
She is favourite to win the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games.
