BREAKING! President Tinubu To Reject Seyi Tinubu’s Rumoured Governorship Ambition
TRIXX NG reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would reject the rumoured governorship ambition of his son, Seyi Tinubu which has been featured on several social media platforms for some days.
According to the rumour, Seyi Tinubu is planning to succeed Governor Babajide Sanwoolu after his tenure expires in 2027.
Due to this, some have been referring to the President’s son as the incoming governor of the state, including his close ally, Lege Miami who referred to himself as the ‘friend of an incoming governor’.
Some groups have also endorsed the popular philanthropist while some rejected his bid.
However, President Tinubu though has not said anything regarding Seyi’s rumoured ambition, will not in any way accept this development due to serious political reasons.
Already, Seyi’s rumoured ambition has caused an uproar among political actors within the state, pointing to the fact that if such ambition sees the light of the day, the political structure of the state would be in shambles.
If the political structure fails, the greatest loser would be President Tinubu who before he became the President controls the political atmosphere in the state.
With Seyi Tinubu, who clearly has no political standing in the state aside from being the son of the state’s most powerful man, The president may be on his way to losing hold of the political structure of the state.
It is worthy of note that the likes of Lagos deputy governor, Femi Hamzat, The president’s CoS, Femi Gbajabiamila, the President’s PS, Muri Okunola, Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, Tokunbo Wahab, to mention but a few have been pitched to succeed Governor Babajide Sanwoolu, passing through all these mighty politicians to giving a nod to Seyi’s rumoured ambition would be disastrous for President Tinubu.
President Tinubu has a second-term ambition in place and can definitely not afford to lose any of his political gladiators in Lagos state especially, therefore, putting his son, who may not add any serious value to his victory, ahead of those who have been managing the political structure of the state, would be a huge disaster.
Likewise, Nigeria is a very democratic country that frowns at any undemocratic development, it’s always an issue when a president or anyone in position appoints his or her tribesmen into government, not to talk of supporting one’s son to become the governor of Nigeria’s most viable state, it will be vehemently kicked against.
President Tinubu is a smart politician who knows how to protect his interests. At the moment, his son becoming governor is definitely not an interest to him, therefore, he would reject the move without having a second thought about it.
