BREAKING! Sheikh Gumi Reveals Identity Of The Kidnappers Of Zamfara School Girls

Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, the Islamic cleric who has been negotiating with armed bandits across the country has given more details about the kidnappers of the recently abducted Zamfara school girls.

News filtered early on Friday that yet to be identified gunmen kidnapped 317 girls from Government School in Zamfara State and this development has generated reactions from different quarters.

The scholar said a splinter group of bandits carried out the Zamfara abduction.

However, Gumi said he might travel to Zamfara to meet the bandits for talks about the release of the schoolgirls.

Meanwhile, the Zamfara state government has confirmed the abduction of the over 300 female Government Girls Secondary School students, Jangebe.

The Zamfara state commissioner of Security ad Home Affairs, Abubakar Dauran, said the number of students abducted is yet to be ascertained, adding that he was on his way to the school.

Dauran further stated that the state government had mobilized security men to rescue the abducted students.

However, a school staff who spoke on condition of anonymity said the gunmen in their hundreds invaded the town around 2 am on Friday, shot sporadically in the air to scare the residents before coming into the school.
