Daddy West, Jethro Sheeran To Headline 2022 Nigerian Reggae Festival
Music Africa Awake Foundation (MUAFA) record artiste, Daddy West, Denmark artiste Jethro Alonestar Sheeran, Patoranking have been enlisted to headline the 2022 edition of the Nigerian Reggae Festival.
The year’s edition scheduled to hold between November 11 and 13, 2022 at the Trade Fair Motel, International Trade Fair complex, Lagos is aimed at restoring peace and unity in Nigeria and also eradicate xenophobic attacks in African countries.
MUAFA the organisers of the Nigeria Reggae Festival in a media launch on Monday at Trade Fair Motel, International Trade Fair complex, Lagos disclosed that the event is not just about music and dance, it will also feature an exhibition of business and arts, seminars on health and music and tour to connect with foreigners.
The organizers said the festival is expected to feature reggae music artists from Nigerian, Caribbeans, France, Switzerland, UK and other African countries.
Prominent reggae artists expected to feature at the festival include Patoranking, Crucial Bankie, Daddy West, Jethro Sheeran, among others.
According to the organisers, reggae music has its roots in Africa; the whole essence of the brand of music emphasized the unity of the African continent adding that the reggae music festival would also be a veritable platform to not only propagate the gospel of peace amongst all but also provide a platform to promote upcoming artists.
The maiden edition of the festival was held in Anambra state in 2019.
