Fake News: Court issued Bench warrant against Jaruma, to be re-arrested and kept in Prison until March 17th

The case hearing between Hauwa Saidu Mohammed aka Jaruma and Commissioner of Police at Upper Area court zuba today 23rd February.
As at 10:30am when the case was called for hearing, the prosecuting lawyer, Bar Edwin Inegbinoise stood up to inform the judge that the accused Hauwa Saidu Hammed aka Jaruma and her Lawyers were not in court.
He also made it clear to the judge Abdullahi Jubrin that Both defendant lawyers and himself agreed on today’s date for hearing and to his knowledge no motion or notice was served and it shows that the accused had jumped Bail.

The prosecutor lawyer pleaded to court to revoke her bail, issue arrest warrants among others.

Then suddenly a lawyer who was not part of the case pleaded with court to give him 30-1hour for him to call the accused maybe something must have happened.

the judge stood down the hearing for 2hours and later reconvened without Jaruma and her Lawyers in sight.

The Police prosecutor lawyer also pray the court to revoke her bail, issued Bench warrant and also summoned her surety.

The judge, Ismaila Abdullahi Jubrin stood down the case for almost 2hours.

The judge told the court that he has waited enough in fairness to justice and nobody should make mockery of this court so the court eventually granted the prayer of Prosecutor citing section 131 criminal justice, I hereby ruled that “a bench warrant issue against the accused (Jaruma) and her surety be summoned to show cause while their bond should not be forfeited”

Judge Abdullahi also adjourned the case to 17th March,2022.
