Former Lagos Governor, Akinwummi Ambode Joins Labour Party To Contest Against Sanwoolu?

TRIXX NG reports that there are rumours on the social media scene that the former governor of Lagos state, Akinwummu Ambode has dumped APC to Labour party and has reportedly picked governorship form to contest against Governor Sanwoolu in 2023.

This has not been confirmed by the former governor or Labour party but currently, he is trending on twitter following the development. Many have expressed joy as they are confident he will win if the story is true.

Governor Akinwummi had said some months ago on his twitter page that the youths are coming in 2023 to take over the government while creating an impression that he will pull a joker that will be a major story in the build up to 2023 elections especially in Lagos.

It is worthy of note that the presidential candidate of Labour party, Peter Obi has a higher percentage of the youths on his side and this could just be what Ambode meant when he made the statement.
