TRIXX NG reports that popular activist, Omoyele Sowore was arrested yesterday following a petition written against him by billionaire businessman, Ned Nwoko.

He was accused of defaming the billionaire businessman, as shared by the activist after he claimed to have been freed.

However, TRIXX NG has exclusively gathered that Omoyele Sowore lied about being released by the police yesterday. According to the media aide to Ned Nwoko, Ifetayo Adeniyi, Omoyele Sowore was only granted an administrative bail and will return to the police station this morning.

This is in line with Section 36(5) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as Ammended) that talks about the presumption of innocence until proven guilty upon conviction.

It was also revealed that he will be charged to court this morning.

‘’ He is not free yet or released, He was only granted police administrative bail. He is coming back to the police station this morning and will be charged straight to court. His lawyer stood surety yesterday for him and tendered his original international passport while assuring to bring him back today or anytime he is needed by the police’’

Meanwhile, it seems Omoyele Sowore is not backing down on defaming Prince Ned Nwoko as he referred to him as a criminal in a twitter post.
