‘I Warned Sunday Igboho To Maintain Peace In Ogun Fulani Settlement’ – Prominent King Reveals

Following the alleged arson done by Yoruba freedom liberator, Sunday Igboho In Igua community in Ogun state, a prominent king in Yewa, Oba E Akintunde Akinyemi has revealed that He told the popular activist to maintain peace and order when he came to his palace.

Recall that Sunday Igboho had stormed Ogun state yesterday to evict killer Fulani herdsmen after a purported ‘invitation’ by the Ogun state government.

The king, in an interview on BBC Monitored by TRIXX NG, made it known that when Sunday Igboho arrived at his palace before going to Igua community, He prayed with him, and told him to allow the government security operatives to handle to case since they have said they are capable.

He made it known that Sunday Igboho agreed to his plea, and that he understands that his vision is to liberate Yoruba land from killer herdsmen.

In his words

‘Sunday Igoho told me he wanted to visit Igua, I said we have one of our respected ruler there and that he will see him in the palace. They all left here, they were about 500. Whatever happened in Igua , I don’t even know but I told him the issue is a good one and prayed for him. I told him that if the police were  ready to take full responsibility for their primary assignment, He should relax and let them do their job but we have sent a signals to them that we are not fools and slave in our lands.

We abide by the law, the fulanis should abide by the law too, whatever happened in Igua, I don’t know but at least I preached peace with him, and that he should sit with the traditional ruler there and seek peace’’
