Ikoyi Building Collapse: Sad Story Of Newly Employed Lady Buried Under Rubble
A 26-year-old lady identified as Onyinye Enekwe, is reported to be among those buried under the rubble of the 21-storey building that collapsed on Monday, November 1, in Ikoyi area of Lagos State.
Trixx NG learnt that the Onyinye, a graduate of the Nnamdi Azikwe University was just employed to work as a personal assistant to Femi Osibona, owner of Fourscore Homes before the unfortunate incident occurred.
It was also gathered that her wedding was slated for next month.
Onyinye’s cousin, Chinedu Enekwe explained to The Cable that the she had left her elder sister’s house around 6am for work on that day adding that Onyinye had taken a picture of herself at the site, which she sent to her older sister just as she arrived at work on Monday morning.
He said the family has received “no information” from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) or other rescue workers concerning her whereabouts.
Chinedu, however, said the family members are praying for her safe return.
