JUST IN: After Multiple Allegations Of Physical Abuse, Mohbad Dumps Marlian Music Record label
TRIXX NG reports that singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly known as Mohbad has issued a termination notice effective from the 7th of October to his music label Marlian Music, alleging unpaid royalties as well as a physical assault from the label founder, Naira Marley.
According to a letter issued through Mohbad’s legal representative, Naira Marley had through the record label failed to pay Mohbad all royalties for music he made throughout his time with the record label since 2019 till date (3 years).
The letter also cited cases of physical assault against Mohbad which according to them “caused grievous bodily harm” and was a threat to Mohbad’s life.
The notice further demanded a total account of digital sales of Mohbad’s catalogue as well as payment of the monetary value. It also issued the label seven days to hand over the singer‘s catalogue of songs under the label.
Recall that Mohbad had recently cried out a second time about his treatment at the label, alleging physical assault with video receipt of injuries he allegedly sustained as a result.
