Just In: Dele Momodu, Festus Keyamo Confirm Yinka Odumakin’s Death

TRIXX NG reports that rumours about the death of popular afenifere chieftain, Yinka Odumakin has been confirmed.

This was gotten in a statement and condolence message shared by veteran journalist, Dele Momodu, and the minister of state, Labour and employment,  Festus Keyamo in a tweet.

Dele Momodu revealed that a friend who is also close to Yinka Odumakin confirmed the death of the Afenifere chieftain to him while weeping.

I slept about 5.30am this morning and had to switch off my phones, something I rarely do… Unknown to me TOKUNBO AFIKUYOMI, a mutual friend of YINKA ODUMAKIN and I was trying frantically to reach me… Then I woke up and my first phone froze bec of endless messages…. pic.twitter.com/lEbYKVCtfH

Festus Keyamo also said he has called his wife, and she confirmed that there were still at the hospital where he died

Yinka’s death is a personal loss to me. Himself & the wife, Joe, have been my long-time friends & allies. I knew them separately before they met & got married.
