Just In: Former Zamfara Gov Joins APC Presidential Race After Meeting With Buhari
A former Governor of Zamfara State, Ahmed Yerima, has joined the race for the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) presidential ticket.
TRIXX NG learnt Yerima disclosed his intention after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday in Abuja.
He said the President gave him the nod to contest the ticket.
“I’m here this afternoon to inform Mr. President of my intention to participate in the 2023 elections and to contest the office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I’m going to, insha Allah, purchase my forms today and officially declare this afternoon,” he said.
“So, I have three points as well; to fight insecurity, fight poverty, and ignorance,” he added.
