JUST IN: Igbo APC Presidential Aspirants In Closed-Door Meeting In Abuja

Southeast presidential aspirants under the the  All Progressives Congress (APC) are currently in closed doors meeting in Abuja.

According to reports the meeting is been hosted by former Imo State Governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha at his Abuja residence.

Other aspirants in attendance include former Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, former Science and Technology Minister, Ogbonnaya Onu, Senator Ken Nnamani, Mrs. Uju Ken-Ohanenye.

Daily Trust reports that an aide to Okorocha who doesn’t want his name in print said that the meeting was centred on how to pick a consensus candidate among the aspirants from the zone.

”South East is serious about producing President of this country this time around. This makes our leaders to convene this meeting in order to have a common ground. I can assure you that the zone will push forward an aspirant who is nationally acceptable,” the aide said.
