JUST IN: Lagos Gov Names New Physical Planning Commissioner

Governor Babatunde Sanwo-Olu, has announced the former Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Tayo Bamgbose-Martins, as the new Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development in Lagos state.

TRIXX NG had reported that the former commissioner, Salako, resigned on Monday, following the collapse of a seven-storey building on Victoria Island.

In a statement on Wednesday by the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, said, “I am here to tell you that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has redeployed Tayo Bamgbose-Martins as the new Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development.

“He is to replace Idris Salako, who resigned. So, Bamgbose-Martins is coming into a new realm of experience coming from the Ministry of Special Duties.

“Bamgbose-Martins is an astute civil engineer with over 33 years of professional experience as a public servant.”
