Details of what happened have emerged, according to Stechitegist Media, when scores of APC supporters in Ogun State invaded the home of former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Wednesday while Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, paid the former President a visit.

A reliable source with knowledge of the conversations said the following in an interview with StechiteGist Media on Wednesday night:

The source shrieked, “It was exactly what occurred to former President Jonathan in 2015, Baba refused to accept Tinubu. Segun Osoba negotiated the terms of Tinubu’s visit with the former President. Like he did in 2015 with Jonathan, Obasanjo only reluctantly accepted them. He always acts in like manner when he opposes someone’s ambition’’

The insider informed Stechitegist Media that Baba “just told him that he ought not to be in the race due to the bad performance of APC and because it is vital to be fair to the east for equality and all inclusion.”

As at 1:09 p.m., Tinubu and a few other party leaders flew into the Penthouse of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Oke-Mosan, the capital of Ogun State, Abeokuta.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, former Governor Gbenga Daniel, Segun Osoba, and other Ogun State government officials welcomed him.
