Just In: Sunday Igboho To Spend Up To One Month In Benin Republic Jail
TRIXX NG reports that Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho who was arrested some days ago at Benin Republic has been sent to jail after a marathon court session yesterday that ended around 11:20pm.
Also, more details surrounding his present predicament have been unveiled by one of his lawyers who spoke to BBC pidgin.
According to him, Sunday Igboho’s case has nothing to do with the involvement of the Nigerian government as widely insinuated. He made it known that it is strictly an affair of Benin Republic.
Also, He revealed that Sunday Igboho may spend weeks or one month in the jail.
He stated that Sunday Igboho was arrested for criminal association in the country and that investigations is still going on if he will be convicted or not.
