He said, “the death of my father is still fresh so those scheming for his throne should wait till December.

“We should remember that we shall all die one day so I beseech those scheming to wait a little while long for us to honour my father, the late King before they start their battle for the throne. The death of late Oba Bashir Oloruntoyin Saliu, my father is still shocking to us.”

Prince Hammed also urged the state government to warned those parading themselves as the Oba elect of Oworosoki to desist in other not to cause chaos in the community.

According to the Regent, it is too early for anyone to start laying claim to the throne when the family is yet to consider candidates for the throne neither has the family sent any name to the government to choose the next King.

He also cautioned members of the general public not to transact any business with anyone in the name of Oloworo Kingdom since the government is yet to appoint another King, stressing that the family has a name to protect.

Prince Hammed however urged sons and daughters of Oworo land to remain calm and focused while assuring them that the process for another King will commence in earnest as soon as the final burial rites for the late King has been concluded.
