The candidate of the People democratic party (PDP) in the December 5 imo north senatorial election, Chief Emmanuel Okewulonu should prepare to be declared as the winner of the election.

This is because some of the things that have unfolded in the all progressive congress even after the INEC declared the party as the winner of the election will at the end of the day favour the next party with the highest vote which is PDP.

After INEC declared APC as the winner of the election, no candidate was returned because the two people that portrayed themselves as the candidates of the election were sacked from as candidates hours before the election. Two different court rulings sacked both of them. One of them, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume was sacked because he didn’t participate in the primary election while Frank Ibezim was sacked because He forged his certificates.

Both of them have proceeded to the court after the election to claim mandate but ever since then, it has been abortive for them. Ifeanyi Ararume’s case was the first to be dismissed in the court, He had gone to the court to claim victory of the election but it was unsuccessful, and when Frank Ibezim thought victory had smiled on his after Supreme court declared him as the right candidate of the party, the appeal court upheld the high court judgment about his forged certificate.

Frank Ibezim has just one more card to play which is going to the supreme court to fight the forgery case laid against him and by all indications, the supreme court might still uphold the decision of the two lower courts.

As this is likely to happen, and if it happens, the candidate of the PDP, Chief Emmanuel Okewulonu will be declared as the winner of the election. Surprisingly, the PDP candidate is not waiting for this alone, he has proceeded to the election tribunal, and according to information, the pendulum of victory is swinging to his side.
