A popular man of God, Primate Elijah Ayodele had earlier warned against kidnappings in the country during the release of his annual book of prophecy titled Warning to the nations

He released the 2020/2021 edition in August 2020, and on page 116, The prophet noted that he foresees that Kidnapping will become worrisome in Nigeria, and the ways at which kidnapping will happen will be different from the way it has always been

The Spirit of God says kidnappings will become very worrisome in Nigeria. There will be various ways of kidnappings in which some of the kidnappers will be apprehended and some will escape the law. Kidnappers will go on rampage in which the police will not be able to address some of the issues. I foresee there will be new gangs of kidnappers in which some of them are Nigerians and some are foreigners. I foresee their ways of kidnapping will be different. Their reign of terror will be for a while before they are apprehended’’

With this, one would be right to say this prophecy is coming to pass with the rate of kidnapping in nigeria, it has already become worrisome as there is not a day that passes without one hearing about kidnap in one place or the other
