Senate President Bags Chieftaincy Title In Ekiti

Nigeria’s Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, yesterday 18th September, 2021 was enrolled into Iyin Traditional Hall of Fame with the conferment on him the Aare Akorewolu of Iyin Kingdom by the Oluyin of Iyin, Oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaiye.

The event was part of the activities to mark the Oluyin of Iyin’s first coronation anniversary on the throne.

A statement signed by the media adviser to the Senate President, Ola Awoniyi, said a letter of appreciation was earlier sent to Lawan by the paramount ruler, describing him as a blessing to Nigeria.

Ajakaiye thanked Lawan for his “valued support to the indigenes of the town who are currently serving the nation in various capacities in the government of the Federal Republic.”
