Stanbic IBTC Fuze 2.0: Promoting Talents Of Nigerian Youths For Global Recognition

Nigeria is a nation blessed with youths that have great talents but find it hard to be recognized because they don’t have what it takes to be visible at the local, national and global level.

Talents sometimes aren’t enough to become a brand people want to reckon with; a talent will waste if people out there are unable to see what one has got to offer. To become known with one’s talent, promotion is a major factor.

Stanbic IBTC pension managers’ FUZE Talent show has since inception served as a huge platform for Nigerian talents to promote themselves, refine their talents, get massive financial rewards, enjoy unprecedented visibility, among several other benefits.

Fuze, which is one of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes of Stanbic IBTC pension managers, recognized that Music, Fashion, Dance, technology industries are globally respected and accepted. Therefore, it poses to present and promote Nigerian youths who have talents in these areas for them to be recognized globally.

During an event which was held in Lagos earlier today, One of the winners of the first edition of Fuze which was held in 2022 described the talent show as a turning point for his musical career. He explained that Fuze 1.0 provided for him what he needed to move to the next stage of his career. He testified to the uniqueness of the Fuze Talent show and how his career took a great turn on account of the visibility he got.

‘’Last year, I enrolled in Fuze talent hunt and ever since then, my life has not been the same. I have been in so many reality shows that I didn’t win but when I tried this, it was unique, the timing was accurate. I was at a stage where I needed something to move from a level and Fuze came through. I used the money I got to uplift my career. For me, Fuze was a major one for me. I will never stop talking about it, The journey has been beautiful’’

After recording a successful maiden edition, No fewer than 12 young Nigerians out 28 have emerged as the finalists to participate at the second edition of the Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers’ talent hunt show on completion of a two-week talent bootcamp .

The 12 finalists, according to the firm’s Chief Executive, Olumide Oyetan, will compete among each other at the FUZE 2.0 Talent Show in four categories which are technology, fashion, dance and music and the winners will share a N32M grand prize.

He added that the talent show will be aired on television stations for six weeks from November 11, 2023, saying that viewers will be allowed to vote their preferred finalists in each category.

It was also revealed that the winners will be unveiled at the Fuze talent festival on Saturday, 23rd Of December, 2023.
