Taraba Governor-Elect, Dr. Agbu Kefas Cements Relationship With Politicians Beyond North East

Despite being from the northeast region of the country, The governor-elect of Taraba state, Dr. Agbu Kefas has embarked on a process to build stronger relationships with governors and politicians in other regions in the country.

Dr. Agbu Kefas, who is obviously yet to be inaugurated as Taraba state governor, has portrayed his unflinching ability to engage in national politics for the sake of Taraba state.

This uncommon attribute of Dr. Agbu Kefas was depicted over the weekend during the burial ceremony of Governor Duoye Diri’s father in Bayelsa. The event had prominent politicians across political parties in attendance. Outgoing governors, incumbent governors, newly elected leaders, presidential aspirants, governorship aspirants, and PDP chieftains, were all present.

Governor-elect, Dr. Agbu Kefas also attended the star-studded event and as expected, the star-boy of Taraba state represented his people well. Throughout the event, He was humbly speaking with political figures across geo-political zones.

This is another testament that Dr. Agbu Kefas isn’t a novice in the political scene of the country. He has been a major political figure not just in Taraba state but nationally and has over the years built valuable relationships with politicians at the state level and nationally.

Most especially in the PDP, Dr. Agbu Kefas is a known personality and this earned him the position of the PDP chairman in Taraba state some years back and his victory as the governorship candidate of the party at the gubernatorial primary election.

His popularity and strength were proven again at the gubernatorial election polls of March 18, 2023, which saw Dr. Agbu Kefas emerging victorious despite several attempts to thwart his victory.

Certainly, Taraba state is set to become a national center of interest due to the relationship which Governor-elect, Dr. Agbu Kefas has built across regions.
