Taraba: How Security Operatives Thwarted APC Plans To Rob PDP’s Kefas Agbu Of His Victory

Plans by the All Progressive Congress (APC) to rig the governorship election in Taraba state was thwarted by security operatives during the votes counting process.

Eyewitnesses saw how the APC and its candidate, Emmanuel Bwacha tried all of their best to ensure the election doesn’t go in favour of the candidate of the PDP, Kefas Agbu but it was all to no avail.

This is also the reason behind the delayed declaration of results in the state despite the fact that the number of voters isn’t as much as other states that have been declared. The APC is still trying to stop the declaration of the results since it is not in the party’s favour.

PDP party agents had confirmed since yesterday that Kefas Agbu emerged victorious in the election with more than 110,000 votes. Out of 16 local governments, Kefas won 11 while the NNPP and APC candidates won 3 and 2 respectively.

Ordinarily, the results should have been officially declared by the independent national electoral commission but several interference by the APC have caused delay up till this moment.

At the moment, the winning margin has been reduced drastically but against all odds, Kefas still maintains a comfortable lead, many thanks to the gallant security operatives who stood their ground to ensure sanity in the electoral processes in Taraba governorship election.
