Together4ALimb: Stanbic IBTC Organizes Walk, Supports Vulnerable With Prosthetics Limb

Stanbic IBTC Holdings in partnership with  Ifean health on Saturday,25th of November 2023, has supported 45 vulnerable with prosthetics limb in commemoration of an annual walk tagged “Together4Alimb” In Lagos. The Walk which was its 9th edition had dignitaries cover 400 miles from Walter Carrington to Law School.

The Executive managing Director of stanbic IBTC Holdings, Demola Sogunle stated that said the programme Is a commitment to support children with lost limb right from infant to the very age of 18. He also emphasized that the programme symbolizes Unity, commitment in the lives of the children  and a means to encourage them to embrace hope.

He noted that the program has transformed the lives of 100 children and that instead of the normal 10 per year, 45 beneficiaries will be added this year.

The first lady of Lagos state, Dr. Mrs. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu who was represented by Mrs Ogunsanwo acknowledged Stanbic IBTC’s support for the children with disabilities over the years while speaking specifically about the donation of prosthetics limb.

Ogunsanwo asserted that physical disability isn’t an inability and should not prevent anyone from achieving what he/she thinks in life.

‘’Every person living with a physical disability has special produce and talent and they must therefore be provided with an enabling environment to realize their full potentials in all aspects of human endeavors”.

She also stated that she is convinced that the project is going a long way to make life easier for the children in this category and bring support to their in providing medical and educational support services for young children with special needs and vulnerable in the society and the state.
