TRIXX NG reports that the national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after spending about three months in the United Kingdom due to his health condition.

He returned yesterday and was received by the governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwoolu at the airport.

His return has no doubt been anticipated as many top political leaders have gone to the UK to see him while he was there, many who were not able to visit him have been expecting him to return. However, many were disappointed with his unannounced return to the country.

Tinubu no doubt is an influential politician whose presence cannot be in silence. As a matter of fact, many APC members in Lagos state have planned a loud welcome party for their leader starting from the airport.

Many had thought Tinubu would return on Sunday as earlier reported in the social media space but suddenly, he returned quietly yesterday.

Meanwhile, a close aide to the politician made it known that Tinubu isn’t disposed to return to the country amidst fanfare, hence the choice of a quiet return

“Asiwaju is not disposed to the elaborate rally planned to receive him by his supporters because of the mood of the nation, that’s why he came in quietly, unannounced,”

Also, the welcome party which was earlier planned by the APC to hold on Sunday has been cancelled. A circular regarding this was sent to the members of the party.

“Dear leader/GAC member, you are hereby informed of change in plans/arrival of our National Leader billed for Sunday. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the plans/arrival have been put on hold. A new plan/arrival will be unfolded soon. Sorry for any inconvenience this hold may have caused. Thank you,”
