Youths And Students Pass Vote Of Confidence On Senator Tokunbo Abiru

Youths and students drawn across 16 LGs/LCDAs in the Lagos East Senatorial district passed a vote of confidence on the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, for the effective representation he has been providing so far.

Young folks who came out in their large numbers during the All Progressives Congress, APC mega rally that held in Epe Recreation Center on Wednesday, 1st of February declared that Senator Abiru deserves another term stressing that he has totally changed governance narratives through his people-oriented programmes and projects that have direct impact, particularly on students and young people across the East Senatorial District.

Adorning branded vests and caps with the inscription, “Youth and students for Senator Tokunbo Abiru”, the students numbering over 300 said they came out to endorse him because of his purposeful leadership and the premium the Senator places on sustainable empowerment and Human Capital Development, especially for young people.

The Convener of the Youths and Students Group, Comrade Giwa Murtala Omotola-Moore made it known that with the data available on the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), the Youths and students demography hold the ace in the forthcoming elections.

Giwa moore further said: There is need to rally round the Disitinguished Senator Abiru who cares so much about the future of Youth by championing programmes that will launch them into global economic value chain.

“That’s what prompted us to come out to solidarise and support him and all other APC candidates starting from the National leader and the Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, and all other APC candidates within East Senatorial District”.

“Specifically, the endorsement of Senator Tokunbo Abiru was as a result of some educational programmes and projects initiated and facilitated by him within two years in office and if given the opportunity to continue, the Youths and students will benefit more from him”, Giwa Moore declared.

Facilitation of N300Million Constituency Intervention Revolving Loan at 6% per annum for young entrepreneurs and SMEs in Lagos East Senatorial District.
