2023: Jonathan Backs Northern Governor To Succeed Buhari

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has backed the presidential ambition of Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State.

Trixx NG learnt that Jonathan who endorsed the governor during a meeting on Thursday in Abuja described him as a man with patience, humility, fortitude and a good listener for a better Nigeria.

Jonathan also expressed confidence in Mohammed, who served as FCT Minister under his administration, to lead the country.

“If you are there (as President), then I have a son,” Jonathan said. “Every father wants his son to grow.

“Those of you who worked with me, it is my duty to support you. We are the same family. The best thing will happen for us.

“You are very competent and focused person. By the divine providence, with the support of Nigerians and God, you will become the President of Nigeria.”

Speaking earlier, Governor Bala said he was, alongside members of his team, at the residence of the former president to seek for his blessings and inform him of his aspiration to run for the office of Nigeria’s President in the forthcoming election
