2023: Popular Monarch Throws Weight Behind Osinbajo
The Chairman Traditional Institutions in Imo State, Eze Emmanuel Okeke has prayed for the 2023 presidential hopeful, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
Osinbajo who travelled to Owerri, Imo State on Friday was received at the Sam Mbakwe Airport by the state Governor, Hope Uzodimma; Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo state, McDonald Amadi; other state executives of the party, Imo state top government officials; and supporters.
After leaving the airport, the country’s no.2 citizen proceeded to the palace of Eze Imo to make his intentions known.
Osinbajo is in Imo state is to woo party delegates ahead of the APC presidential primaries slated to hold later this month (May).
“VP gets an excited welcome in Imo as he arrives for APC delegates & stakeholders interaction. He had earlier received blessings of the Eze Imo whose palace was his first port of call. The traditional ruler told VP “God chose you from your childhood” & prayed for more grace to him,” the spokesperson of the Vice President, Laolu Akande wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
Osinbajo is also scheduled to visit the APC state secretariat to meet with delegates.
