BREAKING: FG Increases Prices Of Electricity Meter
Beginning November 15, 2021, the federal government will hike the price of single-phase and three-phase electricity meters.
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission released a circular on November 11, 2021, addressed to managing directors, all electricity distribution firms, and all meter asset providers.
The circular was titled ‘Review of the unit price of end-use meters under the Meter Asset Provider and National Mass Metering Regulations’ and has the reference number NERC/REG/MAP/GEN/751/2.
The regulator increased the price of a single-phase meter from its existing price of N44,896.17 to a revised price of N58,661.69 in the document.
It also raised the price of a three-phase meter from N82,855.19 to N109,684.36 (updated rate).
