JUST IN: Real Reason We Stormed Lagos Island – NDLEA
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Saturday said it made an arrest of a major drug kingpin and 5 others with almost 6,000kg of drugs at Petty Area of Lagos Island in Lagos State.
Trixx NG had reported how operatives of the agency stormed Patey, Dumare, Tapa, and Freeman areas on the Island.
In viral videos shared on microblogging sites, Twitter, many residents were seen scampering for safety as hoodlums engaged the NDLEA operatives.
Gunshots were heard while some were seen carrying dangerous weapons.
A post on NDLEA’s official Twitter handle reads: “A lot of fake narratives have been going on what happened at Petty area of Lagos Island earlier today. Please disregard them. Truth is our operatives went for the arrest of a major drug kingpin and we got her and 5 others with almost 6,000kg of drugs despite attacks on our men,”
