Bamise’s Family Breaks Silence, Suspects Foul Play On Her Death

The family of the murdered 22-year-old girl, Ayanwola Bamise, who was abducted and killed after boarding a BRT vehicle on Ajah, have said they are not ready for a hasty burial of their daughter.

TRIXX NG had reported that dead body of Bamise was reportedly found with some body parts missing on Monday. Bamise got missing while returning to Ota from Ajah on February 26 when she boarded a BRT bus with number 240257 going to Oshodi about 7 pm at Chevron Bus-Stop.

In a press conference on Tuesday in Ikeja, the family said they are not in a haste to bury their daughter until justice is served and the culprits are brought to book.

The deceased’s elder sister, Ayanwole Oluwamilola Titilayo and her elder brother, Ayanwole James Joel made this known during the press conference at CDHR’s office.

They said hasty burial may jeopardise the ongoing investigations to unravel the cause of their sister’s death and that Lagos State Government should be held responsible for her death.

According to the family, the video conversation before Bamise’s death alleged complicity on the part of the Busman and a sign that BTR buses are no longer secure for the common man.

“My sister died in agony, her private part was removed before her agonising death and was thrown out of the bus on the motion. We suspect foul play and we will not engage in hasty burial.

“The Lagos State Government should be held responsible for the death of my sister,” she said.
