BREAKING: History As Senator Aishatu Wins Adamawa APC Governorship Primaries, Defeats Nuhu Ribadu, Former Governor Bindo
TRIXX NG reports Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed (Binani) has defeated a former Governor, Bindow Jibrilla and ex-EFCC Chairman, Nuhu Ribadu, to clinch the Adamawa All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket.
Sen. Aishatu won with 430 votes, defeating former Governor Bindow who polls 103 votes, Mal. Nuhu Ribadu 288 votes, Hon. Namdas 94, Umar Otumba 39, & Wafari 21 votes.
She becomes the first female governorship candidate to win the governorship primaries in Nigeria’s main parties.
