Identity Of Police Officer Caught Smoking Weed Finally Revealed

TRIXX NG reports that an officer of the Nigerian Police Force caught on camera smoking weed has been arrested.

Recall a photo had gone viral on social media showing a police officer smoking weed in the public at the Ijora area of Lagos.

In a statement released on Tuesday evening by Lagos Police Command spokesperson, DSP Benjamin Hundeyin gave the name of the erring officer as ASP Babatunde Adebayo.

The officer is reportedly serving at the Shogunle Divison of the command of the state.

Hundeyin mentioned that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, has directed the immediate commencement of appropriate disciplinary measures commensurate with his rank.

He added that the police boss has equally warned officers and men of the Command to stay clear of all unprofessional and unethical conduct as any officer found guilty of these acts will be severely sanctioned.

The Lagos State Police Command has identified the police officer pictured smoking weed at the Ijora area of Lagos State.

He is ASP Babatunde Adebayo serving at Shogunle Divison of the Command.
