Animasaun Surah Olayemi, a candidate of All Progressives Congress in Epe Local Government Area of Lagos state for the forthcoming LG election, has been accused of forging certificates as findings revealed that there were inconsistency  in the certificates  submitted to the party’s screening committee & Department of State Security.

The Senior Secondary School Certificates submitted by Sura  and sighted by this reporter showed that the Epe APC candidate truly has some secret in her cupboard.

It was discovered that Sura first submitted a 1991 statement of result from Jibril Martin High School with grades in *Art/Commercial* subjects.

It was gathered that the APC candidate submitted the statement of result to Dr.Tola Kasali- led Screening committee on 24th May, 2021.

However, further findings revealed Sura went ahead to submit another statement of result with grades in Science subjects to the DSS (EPE) office on 27th May, 2021.

From observation, while the two statement of results carried Sura’s name, the year on the two documents was also 1991.

Findings revealed that the APC candidate was unable to present the original WAEC certificate 30 years after writing the exam.

It was discovered that all she was able to present to the screening committee was two statement of result which had same year with different subjects.

It was also gathered that Animasaun Sura Olayemi did not submit National Youth Service Corps certificate or any exemption letter to prove if she serve or was exempted.

Findings however revealed that despite the inconsistency and ‘obvious’ forgery in Sura’s credentials, the screening committee  still went ahead to confirm her.

This has reportedly led to agitations and protests by some members of the party in the state, calling for her removal so as to save a future political consequences for APC in EPE LOCAL GOVT.

Also, Sura’s alleged certificate forgery was no longer a news for the people of Epe Area of Lagos as many residents in the axis are aware of the forgery Case.

To buttress this, it was gathered that many groups have written letter to the party urging them not to confirm Sura following the inconsistency in her credentials.

The DSS (EPE) in the APC PRIMARIES ELECTION report written to the state Chairman of *APC* & Lagos State Government stressed that an aspirant (ANIMASAUN SURA OLAYEMI) is of questionable character ( *Certificate Falsification*)

One of the groups, Greater Tomorrow (GT) appealed to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Lagos State Governor, Jide Sanwoolu (H.E) and leaders of the party to properly investigate the APC credentials to avoid political disaster for the party in the future.

The group maintained that opposition parties may use the certificate forgery against ANIMASHAUN SURA OLAYEMI if she emerged as the Chairman of Epe Local Government in the forthcoming Election.

The group chairman, Comrade Segun Okunola, stressed that opposition parties are waiting for APC to make the error so as to use it against the party.

Okunola added, “It is our responsibility to ensure qualified and capable candidates emerged as councillorship and chairmanship candidates in the forthcoming local government election in Lagos State. We are all Lagosians, we want the best for our state.

“We are calling on Gov. Sanwoolu and Dr. Tola Kasali- led Screening committe to properly screened the chairmanship aspirants for eligible candidate to emerge for Epe Local Government Council.

“We have copies of the credentials of the chairmanship aspirants for Epe local government and we have spotted irregularities in the credentials presented by one of the aspirants, Animasaun Surah Olayemi . The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate/exemption letter are missing in her credentials. It is mandatory to pertake in the NYSC programme after successfully graduating from the university or polythecnic. Other irregularities were also spotted in her credentials.

“The screening committe should look into this to avoid embarrasment for the party at large.

” Eko, o ni baje”, the group said.
