A group of Muslim terrorists have attacked Bayo Village in Borno state, murdering several residents including a family, killing the father, daughter, abducting the mother and leaving an only surviving child who escaped by the whiskers on the 22nd of October, 2013.

According to the villagers, they heard noise of the mother in the middle of the night when the terrorists attacked the village only to discover later in the morning that the whole house had become empty except for the lifeless bodies of the father and daughter.

While speaking with some of them, it was revealed that several houses were attacked during the raid but the family in question lost more than others.

‘’During the deadly attack, we heard a loud noise from the house where the father and daughter were killed. The family has lost everything except for a surviving son who escaped because he went to the toilet just before the attack happened. The terrorists were Muslims because we heard them shouting ‘’Allah Akbar’’ when they probably took the lives.’’

They explained that the family was a victim of the attack probably because they are devoted Christians that used to attend church service that was even far from the village.

Speaking about the whereabouts of the only surviving child, they made it known that local security operatives told them that he fled the house in the middle of the night to a neighbouring village over fears that terrorists may come back for him.

‘’We were informed that the only surviving child of the family fled the village immediately the incident happened to a neighbouring village for safety reasons. The terrorists may still come back if they notice he is still alive and it was indeed important for him to leave the town immediately.’’

Confirming the incident, the police assured that they will launch a manhunt for the terrorists that have been terrorizing the community while expressing grief over death of the community members
