There was a mild drama in Ileogbo, the headquarters of Ayedire Local Government Area of Osun State, on Friday, September 3, as the leadership of the community rejected motorcycles which were donated to some members of the town by the member representing Ayedire/Bolowaduro/Iwo Federal Constituency, Hon. Yinusa Amobi Akintola.

The Community Leaders, who rose from a meeting at the Palace of Olu of Ileogbo, Oba Habeeb Adetoyese, instructed the beneficiaries of the empowerment to return the motorcycles, and demanded infrastructural development from the federal legislator and presented them with new ones.

Insisting that the law maker has been marginalizing the town in terms of physical development, the leadership of the community, donated new set of motorcycles to the beneficiaries.

The National President of Ileogbo Unity Forum, Mr. Anthony Owolabi, maintained that infrastructural development in Ileogbo should be given precedence by all

“It is no longer news that Ileogbo should come first in every position we find ourselves and we must not sell the interest of the Community because of personal or political interest. This is a new Ileogbo and we hope that this will serve as a lesson to all political actors who may be thinking that Ileogbo has no political direction,” Mr Owolabi said.
